Anthony Hill is a British Constructivist painter and relief-maker. Together with artists including Victor Pasmore and Kenneth Martin he founded the Constructivist group, promoting art which is rooted in geometry.

He studied at St Martin's School of Art and the Central School of Art and Crafts. He began painting in the Dadaist and Surrealist styles but quickly turned to geometric abstraction. In 1954 he created his first relief, eventually abandoning painting altogether in 1956.

Hill became a member of the London Mathematical Society and a visiting research associate in the Department of Mathematics at University College, London. His fascination with mathematics has underpinned his work throughout his career.

Hill’s work has been exhibited widely and is held in many public collections including the Tate collection, British Council Collection and Arts Council Collection.
