Jason deCaires Taylor is a sculptor and professional underwater photographer.

He is famed for his underwater installations, which show a great affinity between the object and its environment. These pioneering public art projects are built to blend in with the ocean and be transformed into living coral reefs.

Taylor gained international recognition in 2006 with the creation of the world’s first underwater sculpture park, which is situated off the coast of Grenada within the Molinere Beauséjour Marine Protected Area of the West Indies.

Since then, Taylor has gone on to create other major projects including Museo Subacuático del Arte (Mexico), Ocean Atlas (Bahamas), Museo Atlantico (Spain), The Rising Tide (UK), Nest (Indonesia), Nexus (Norway), Coralarium (Maldives), Ocean Siren (Australia) The Coral Greenhouse (Australia), Cannes Underwater Eco-Museum (France) and Museum of Underwater Sculpture Ayia Napa (Cyprus).

His studio is currently based in the UK.
