Marie Desert Bio
Marie Désert (b. 1977, France) is a multidisciplinary artist whose practice spans painting, drawing, photography, video, installation, podcasts and performance. Initially self-taught as a painter from 2003, Désert expanded her practice in 2017 to include experimental video and live projections, often incorporating her own photographs and voice to create narrative-driven works. Exploring the intersections of everyday life, cinema, and memory, Désert engages with themes of intimacy, nature, and the passage of time.
